My dad, as well as other ancestors, always talked about my bloodline having Native American ancestry plus much more that cannot be traced back. Then he started mapping a family tree shown in the above images. His attempt certainly was part of the personal motivation to digitalize our family records without needing to pay for a subscription :)
The challenges ahead were my grandfather, Clayton, never received a birth certificate because of being a home birth and we held an uncertified version of his death certificate from the state. Essentially, there was no proof or connection to Claude aka Claudie (as a baby) that is shown on the Dawes Roll as citizen #4115, so I had to establish 3 generations. 
In 2014, while I was living in Oklahoma and working with several tribes - I took this on as one of my missions. It proved to be a test of patience while waiting registration to be approved by the Cherokee Nation. Thankfully, a contact made from managing a project in Tahlequah had employment with them and pushed the applications through in record time!
Now both my daughters have full access to their heritage and rights and share registration numbers only one digit apart just like their great-great grandfathers, although theirs start closer to 408,000... My dad's and mine are only a different by two. Hearing him gloat about getting his cards first is my fondest memory of the experience.
